Etihad Airways has now introduced Boeing 787-9 operations to Nigeria’s biggest city, Lagos (LOS). In July 2012, Etihad Airways had begun services to the city. This route to Lagos has been proved to be very successful for the airline.
After its inaugural flight from Abu Dhabi, Etihad Airways, Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner touched down in Lagos. The flight EY-673 departed from Abu Dhabi at 2:35 am and arrived as scheduled at 7:10 am local time. Flight EY-674 returning to Abu Dhabi departed from Lagos at 8:30 am.
Etihad Airways Chief Commercial Officer, Robin Kamark says that they are delighted to upgrade to the Dreamliner on the Lagos route, enhancing guests experience as well as meeting the needs of an increasing number of business and leisure passengers that travel in and out of Lagos. This service includes highly-acclaimed interiors featuring 299 seats – 28 Business Studios and 271 Economy Smart seats, allowing travelers to experience industry-leading, next-generation cabins. Each Business Studio has an 18-inch personal touch screen TV along with noise-canceling headsets. Along with this, guests are also allowed to enjoy mobile connectivity, seven satellite channels of live TV and on-board Wi-Fi. With over 750 hours of movie and programs as well as a wide range of music choice, the airline’s 787 fleets have been equipped with the latest in-flight entertainment system. Air pressure levels are set to ensure a much smoother flight allowing guests to feel much fresher on arrival.
