4 ways on how to fix BioShock 2 Remastered crashing issue

BioShock 2 Remastered crashing is very annoying and can get you very upset while in the middle of an amazing game. I get really upset when my games crash but since I’m a software engineer I can solve the issue as soon as possible.   BioShock 2 Remastered Crash should not upset you so I have listed 4 simple methods for you to solve the issue.

First way: Decrease the game resolution 

Sometimes the graphic card and Ram cant handle the processing power of BioShock 2 Remastered. When any game crashes on your Windows PC make sure you first check out the game resolution and decrease it. High screen resolution is one of the major reasons for BioShock 2 Remastered crashing. 

Don’t be disappointed if BioShock 2 is still crashing on your PC. I have listed 3 more ways to solve this error.

Second way: Update BioShock 2 Remastered

The developers of BioShock 2  constantly release updates to bugs. You might be not using an updated version of the game. Make sure you visit the official website and update the game to its latest version. Installing the game patch can solve the BioShock 2 Remastered crashing issue.

After you have installed the latest patch and check if the game is still running without any crash. If updating BioShock 2 Remastered solves the issue then you know what was causing the problem and you will be able to fix BioShock 2 Remastered crash issue if it happens to you again.

Third way: Reinstall BioShock 2 Remastered

Fourth way: DirectX 10

The ram in a PC is very critical for a gaming experience the higher the ram the better. Increasing the capacity of the ram could stop BioShock 2 Remastered Crash.

Step 1: Open steam 

Step 2: Go to libraryBioShock 2 Remastered > Properties

Step 3: Go to local files in properties > Browse local files

Step 4: Open file Bioshock2SP.ini

Step 5: Find Texture Streaming Memory Limit. Change value from 256 to 2048 (Note: If this number does not work make sure you change it to the limit of your graphic card) 

Step 6: Change the limit to 10000 for Texture Streaming Distance Limit

Step 7: Again go back to Steam > Bioshock 2 Remastered > Properties.

Step 8: General > Uncheck Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game

You can now play BioShock 2 Remastered and check if the game has the same crashing issues. If BioShock 2 Remastered does not crash you know you have got a solution and you can follow the same steps if it cashes again.
