Hulu is a platform where you will find the most popular shows, movies, and also live TV which makes it one of the most sought-after streaming apps on the internet. But Hulu subscription plans do not come cheap so before you decide to cause a dent in your wallet you should learn about the features, compatible devices, limits, number of screens, and download limit that’s provided by Hulu’s platform.
In this guide, I will be explaining how many people can watch Hulu at the same time but you can also check out my review on Hulu for a better understanding of the streaming platform.
Users who subscribe to the basic plan can watch Hulu on two separate devices simultaneously, with an option to create as many as six different profiles. Admittedly, while researching about streaming apps I did find many Hulu alternatives that offer more simultaneous streams at cheaper prices.

One Hulu account can connect on how many devices?
If you have purchased a subscription plan of Hulu you can use your Hulu account to enjoy streaming service on two devices at the same time. This means while you are enjoying watching a live match with your buddies your better half can use the same account to watch the latest episode of a brand new show and vice versa.
Can I stream Hulu on all devices?
Currently, Hulu services are offered in two different apps, the classic Hulu app, and the up-to-date version. With the classic version users only have access to a few add-ons and Hulu’s on-demand catalog. With the latest version, users can do a lot more as it gives access to all features of Hulu including live TV and all add-ons. I have written a separate Hulu vs Hulu plus guide where I explain all the major differences between both versions of the streamer in detail.
The devices that are compatible with the up-to-date version are different from the ones compatible with the classic app. The latter is supported on fewer devices like Roku devices and certain Blu-ray players whereas the updated one supports a wider range including smart TVs, mobile devices, Google Chromecast to Nintendo Switch, and more.

Hulu Plans & Pricing
When it comes to pricing, Hulu has different plans for each of its services. Here is the breakdown.
Type of service | Price per month | Price per year |
On-demand catalog | $5.99 | $5.99 |
On-demand combined with Hulu+ Live TV | $64.99 | No plan available currently |
If you feel streaming on two screens will not be enough then opt for Hulu + Live TV subscription along with a Hulu Unlimited Screens add-on for which you will have to pay an additional charge of $9.99/mo. Using this add-on, you can simultaneously stream on all devices connected to your home network while also being able to stream on as many as three mobile devices that are not on your home network.
If you choose to proceed without the Hulu Unlimited Screen add-on you can still watch over 60 live networks that include channel lists from local networks like NBC, CBS, ABC, and FOX but your Hulu account can stream on only two screens at one time.
How many user profiles can I make on my Hulu account?
When you first sign up to a Hulu account you will get a customizable primary profile excluding that you can create five more profiles. But again when it comes to watching you can only watch Hulu on two devices at the same time.
The benefit of user-profiles is that each user can get recommendations as per their choices by selecting their favorite movies, and shows. You can then further customize your streaming experience by selecting specific genres and liking and disliking content. Hulu + Live TV subscribers get the added benefit of accessing personal recordings through a profile’s cloud DVR.
Profiles also have the option of switching on kids’ profiles which restricts users from watching or searching for content that is not kid-friendly.
Can I download content on my devices?
Users can download content and view it offline if subscribed to Hulu’s No Ads on-demand or Hulu + Live TV plan. The download limit of Hulu is up to 25 titles per account on five mobile devices. Downloaded content remains in your download library for 30 days, however, as soon as a user begins watching they have only 48 hours to complete the movie or series in offline mode.
Hulu also holds the right to restrict content that can be downloaded and viewed offline. For instance, a user cannot download on-demand content that comes exclusively with Hulu+ Live TV, neither can Titles from premium add-ons be downloaded.
Conclusion
The number of devices that you can connect to Hulu depends on the package you are subscribed to, for instance, the basic packages allow two simultaneous streams, but once you upgrade it you can simultaneously connect Hulu on 6 devices. So in conclusion, if you are willing to pay for a premium subscription then Hulu is the best streaming platform for you.
