Fortnite breaks another milestone to reach 200 million users

The Fortnite Battle Royal phenomenon shows no sign of slowing down and as per the reports from one of its developers the video game has now reached a 200 million milestone.

In June the game had 125 million users and since then has jumped by 60 percent.

Out of those 200 million registered users, 8.3 million players pay the game regularly. These figures show that the game has been very successful and last February the game had about 4.3 million concurrent players which a significant jump.

In the month of August alone the game had 78 million active monthly users as stated by the company.

Tencent, the Chinese technology giant, has 40 percent shares in Epic Games which is valued at $15 billion. 

Analyst predicts that the year-end earnings for Fortnight could top $2 billion. The company has also raised an additional $1.25 billion which would be used to expand into eSports, and live games.
