We often find ourselves sending the same text over and over again or filling out the same web form multiple times during a workday. There are many reasons for this to happen but here are just a few

· Thanking a supplier for their delivery

· Sending an invoice with a note

· A teacher providing feedback on an essay

· Emailing a prospective hire on LinkedIn

· A lawyer serving notices

These are just a few examples of the mind-numbingly repetitive tasks we all have to do daily. The good news is that we found an application that can help you eliminate repetitive typing and claim back some of that time for yourself!

Enter Text Blaze

Text Blaze is a Google Chrome Extension used by over 200,000 users and with over 500 5 star reviews that allows you to automatically insert text by typing very short shortcut. When I started using Text Blaze my first thought was to wonder where this tool had been all my life. To give you an idea of how amazing this is let me take you through three scenarios that will try (I’m saying try because you’ll only really understand the power of this tool once you try it) to show some of the amazing things Text Blaze can do for you.

Scenario 1: The invoicing

You: You run the accounts payable at a small business and have to invoice about 10 clients every day.

Before Text Blaze: You would type up this email every day:

Hello John!

Please find attached your invoice for order number 14234.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Thank you!

Marc.

Since Text Blaze:

You created a snipped called /inv

What happens now is that each time you type up /inv Text Blaze will populate the following text for you.

Hello <<Name>>

Please find attached your invoice for order number <<Number>>.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Thank you!

Marc.

Instead of having to type up the whole thing you just need to type three letters and fill the information in the boxes for Name and Order number.

Scenario 2: Parent-Teacher Meeting

You’re an elementary school teacher and once in a while when a student misbehaves or you’ve discovered that one of the children might be gifted and not challenged enough in school you may want to meet with the parents. Unlike the scenario above this is not a common occurrence so finding an old email to paste from will take you longer. Simply create a snipped called /parmeeting that contains this:

Hello!

I would love to meet with you in the coming week to discuss <<Childname>>. Please give me a call at 333-333-3333 to arrange a time to meet.

Kind regards

Best Teacher Ever!

While the time savings in this scenario may not seem as much as for scenario 1 think of all those things that you type repetitively at varying intervals that you wished you had a shortcut for!

Scenario 3: The Lawyer

You’re a lawyer and one of the services you offer is serving notices. Your business is doing really well and you want to find a way to type up all those notices much faster!

Instead of having to type up the date manually each time you write up a notice you can use Text Blaze and add Today’s date, tomorrow’s date, a date in the future or in the past at will. This is a great tool that is gaining a lot of traction with our legal community as it not only saves time but it eliminates mistakes.
