# 1: Clear Steam cache

Follow these steps below to Clear Steam cache issue for slow steam download issue.
Step 1: Open Steam and Go to settings
Step 2: Right-click on downloads
Step 3: Click on Clear Download Cache > Ok
Step 4: Close Steam and restart again to check if you are still facing slow downloading on Steam issue.
#2: Change steam download location
One of the reasons why Steam download slow because the country you are downloading from might be restricted.
Below is the step by step guide to change steam location
Step 1:Open steam and click steam on the top right
Step 2: Click Setting and Downloads
Step 3: Click Download region and choose another location from your current location
Step 4: Click Ok and restart steam. Check if you are still having Steam download slow issue.
#3: Disable firewall
Firewall sometimes prevents games from downloading in your PC which can cause the steam slow download issue. When you disable the firewall installed in your PC the games which are downloading slowing on steam can download at a fast pace.
Note: Disabling firewall comes with its own risk make sure you do not download files from any unknown links and visit any pages before disabling steam on your PC.
#4: Check your network connection
Most of you must have already checked your network connection for the steam slow download issue. If you have not checked your network connection make sure you check it and also have a good download speed to ensure the fast download of the games in steam.

Uninstalling and Reinstalling steam is the last way to fix the steam download slow issue. Make sure you uninstall steam from your PC and also delete all the files. Sometimes the corrupt files or missing files can cause slow steam download.
