When his mother is murdered by an unknown assailant, and he emerges as a suspect, Satoru’s Revival ability sends him 18 years into the past. With his adult self in his 11-year-old body, Satoru now must save his mother’s life and prevent the kidnapping of one of his classmates that directly affects his future situation.
Erased is a haunting story that stays with you long after you’re done watching it. It prioritizes its characters over complicated twists and turns and quite maturely handles sensitive topics like child abuse.
However, Erased’s biggest strength lies in its world-building and atmosphere. The main characters and the bond between them quickly draw you into the anime.
